How can I file an RTI application with state government ?

My online rti applicatiin number is 741240 has reached state information commission but have no idea if application is considered for action.This is unlike CIC which gives a diary number once application is received and can be used to track..

First you should identify the department from which you are seeking the information. Then find out the concerned Public Information Officer and submit the application by post or by hand with proper format, duly signed with 10 Rs IPO. (Some states may require 20 Rs IPO / DD / Court fee stamp)
