Yes, you can file RTI to know the Status of your Complaint to an Authority termed as "Public Authority" as per Section 2 (h) of the RTI Act.
You can file the RTI to know the status of the complaint, actions taken, reasons for delay if any, officials dealing with the complaints, date by which action would be taken etc. You must provide the date of application, name of the authority/ office where the application is filed and the copy of the complaint/ acknowledgement copy. You can address the Application to the concerned "Public Information Officer (PIO)" by paying the prescribed fee.
