Oil and Natural Gas Corporation is a public Authority under 2 (h) of the RTI Act 2005. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation comes under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, hence all the information available for public can be asked under RTI.

Yes, you can apply RTI to Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).

ONGC is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of Government of India, under the administrative control of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It was founded on 14 August 1956 by Government of India, which currently holds a 68.94% equity stake. For the Fiscal Year 2016-2017, ONGC was ranked as the largest profit making PSU in India. ONGC is a "Public Authority" under Section 2 (h) of the RTI Act 2005.

Thus, you can file RTI Applications to ONGC either Online or by Offline mode by paying the prescribed fee.
