The application for claim status can made for the Government insurance companies as they are public authority under the RTI Act 2005. The application can be filed to the concerned Insurance company with the policy number, name of the insured, date of maturity etc. The status of the claim, recorded reason for disbursing the amount and the date by which the same will be issued can be asked u/s 2(f) and 6 (1) of RTI Act 2005.
