Case Details

  • There is currently a case going on against me in the court . Can i obtain the papers related to my case under RTI??

  • RTI Experts

    Depends.

Judicial records can be obtained from the registry of the concerned court if you have all the relevant details of the case for which the information is desired.

Even though under RTI Act, there is no specific provision relating to judicial records, the same forms part of Section 2(f) of the RTI Act under which you can obtain documents and records. Certain courts have their own specific rules regarding obtaining such information.
