  • I have filed an RTI application with TNPCB requseting them to share with me a copy of the license ,company asssuring to have equipments in place to prevent unbridled air,water,noise pollution, a copy of the inspection report to a Private Car maintainence workshop located next to my residence.The PIO has sent in only one of the above mentioned documents and has conveniently avoided the license issue and the undertaking from the director of the company.This was in Mid November 2016.Kindly advise on the next course of action

    You need to file a first appeal against the incomplete response of the concerned information officer. You can highlight the issue of your queries not being dealt properly by the PIO and the incomplete response.

    A first appeal is filed under section 19 of the Right to Information Act against the decision of the PIO. In case there is a delay in filing the appeal, you could annex an application for condonation of delay in filing the appeal.
